EXTENSION OF ENHANCED MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER (EMCO) BY THE GOVERNMENT OF MALAYSIA FROM 18 JULY TO 31 JULY 2021

Dear Valued Clients,

On 16 July 2021, the Government of Malaysia announced that several areas in the Klang Valley will undergo an extension of the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from 18 July to 31 July 2021. Non-affected areas in the Klang Valley will go on the National Recovery Plan – Phase 1.

We wish to inform that all physical counter services in the Expatriate Services Division (ESD) and MYXpats Centre will remain CLOSED during this period.

1.   APPOINTMENTS VIA MYHELP - ESD/RP-T ONLINE

      For confirmed appointments dated 1 June 2021 onwards, new appointment dates will be automatically
      re-scheduled through the MYHelp system.

      For URGENT endorsements related to death, critical medical reasons or to leave the country, please email
      Helpdesk Support for further advise.

2.   APPOINTMENTS - REP ONLINE

      All appointments will be held ONLINE with no physical/in-person appointments.

3.   ESD/RP-T/REP ONLINE APPLICATIONS

      All application processes will operate as usual through the online systems. However, please expect some
      delays with the processing charter.

4.   PASS ENDORSEMENT (EXPIRED APPROVAL LETTER)

      To ease the process during the pandemic, the Immigration Department of Malaysia is considering
      endorsement with an expired Approval Letter with below conditions:

  • Applicable for Employment Pass (EP)/Dependant Pass (DP)/Long Term Social Visit Pass (LT-SVP)/Professional Visit Pass (PVP).
  • Has entered Malaysia after pass approval.
  • Has entered with MYEntry permission before the expiry date of Approval Letter

      For applicants who are abroad and are holding expired Approval Letters, you may contact Helpdesk Support
      for further advice.
